3-25-10 Feature Story:
State House, Boston, MA - Senator Richard T. Moore, Chair of the Committee on Health Care Financing joined Representatives from 9 community health centers in a roundtable discussion at the State House on Tuesday, March 23 that covered a range of innovative health center initiatives, including health care workforce recruitment and retention, technology development, local economic stimulus, dental care and a partnership with the Executive Office of Health and Human Services to develop practice standards for all of the state's primary care providers.
The discussion was followed by an exhibit fair of 33 community health centers from across the state and a speaking program that included Representative Jeffrey Sanchez, Chair, Committee on Public Health; Representative Peter Koutoujian, Chair, Committee on Financial Services; Representative Gloria Fox, Vice-Chair, Committee on Housing; and Representative Robert Spellane, Chair, Committee on Public Service.
