The Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers tomorrow will release an economic impact analysis which shows that the Commonwealth's 49 community health centers generate annual savings of more than $1 billion for Massachusetts. Through their provision of primary and preventive care, health centers help to reduce emergency room visits, hospital stays and the need for higher-cost specialty care among their patients.

In addition, the Community Health Centers will honor legislative leaders, including Joint Committee on Health Care Financing Chairs Representative Jeffrey Sanchez and Senator James T. Welch; Representative Nick Collins; and Senator Sonia Chang-Diaz at NOON in the Great Hall.
