Session Information:

This all day conference for prescribing providers is an educational opportunity in the safe use of opioid analgesics. Workshops will include guidance on implementation of practice based programs for addiction management with focus on developing or expanding suboxone treatment at community health centers.

This conference is a collaboration between Boston University School of Medicine and the Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers.

The two morning sessions are:

1) SCOPE of Pain with Dr. Dan Alford on the SCOPE of Pain program designed to help providers safely and effectively manage patients with chronic pain
2) Office Based Practice: Program Components for Certification and Services with Colleen LaBelle, Program Director, State OBOT Program, Boston Medical Center

The two afternoon sessions are:
1) Starting and Running a Chronic Pain Program with Dr. Phil Bolduc and Dr. Harmoy Caton, Family Health Center of Worcester
2) Starting and Running A Suboxone Program with Dr. Kiame Mahaniah, Lynn Community Health Center

This conference has been planned and implemented in accordance with the accreditation requirements and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint providership of Boston University School of Medicine and Catholic Medical Center. Boston University School of Medicine designates this live activity for a maximum of 6 AMA PRA category 1 Credits.
