The League's Annual Outreach & Information Day at the State House features education sessions for legislators and a health center exhibit fair in the Great Hall to highlight the wide range of programs and services they provide to nearly 800,000 state residents.

This year's Outreach and Information Day at the State House included participation from more than 35 Massachusetts community health centers and featured a roundtable discussion with legislators and legislative staff members on the innovative work health centers are doing to expand health access, improve efficiency and enhance quality of care in communities across the state.

With an introduction by Senate Health Care Financing Chair Richard Moore, the roundtable highlighted the impact of recent ARRA investments in health centers; workforce development initiatives such as provider loan repayment and the volunteer-based Community HealthCorps; electronic health records development across the health center network, including launch of the League's new data reporting solution, CHIA DRVS; an update of the Medical Home Initiative; and the importance of preserving oral health services for low-income adults who rely on MassHealth coverage for their dental care.

Smith Community Health Center in Allston and Waltham; Dorcas Grigg-Saito, CEO of Lowell Community Health Center; Joel Abrams, CEO of Dorchester House Multi-Service Center; Stephen Colchamiro, DDS, Dental Director at Brookside Community Health Center in Jamaica Plain; Luke Logan, Assistant Director of the Dental Department at Brockton Neighborhood Health Center; Trish Hao, AmeriCorps HealthCorps volunteer at Codman Square Health Center in Dorchester; and League staff members, Janice Brathwaite, Workforce Development Manager and Leslie Bailey, Manager of Primary Care Provider Initiatives.
