CONTINUING EDUCATION

A calendar of upcoming continuing medical education opportunities that may be of interest to community health center physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners and other mid-level health care providers is listed below. Educational programs are sponsored by the League and other medical organizations. Check each activity for available continuing education credits; the status of CMEs/CEUs are updated regularly.

Ongoing	Announcing a new on-line training course offered by MDPH on infectious disease surveillance, reporting and control in Massachusetts. Need continuing education credits? Take MDPH's on-line training course: Partners in Prevention: Infectious Disease Surveillance, Reporting and Control in Massachusetts. It is an introductory course for persons who are mandated by MA laws and regulations to participate in infectious disease surveillance and reporting, but may be new to or unfamiliar with their roles and responsibilities. May 13, 2008	Advanced Communication Workshops for Improved Provider Patient Experience - Central/Northeastern Regions Session 1 Time: 8-10am Location: UMass Medical School/Commonwealth Medicine Shrewsbury Campus,333 South Street, Shrewsbury Note: This workshop is for CHC primary care providers (physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants) designed to improve the quality of patient experiences in CHCs throughout Massachusetts. This workshop series will be offered in three additional regions (Western Mass, Southeastern Mass, and Boston) in the fall of 2008 to accommodate CHC providers in different regions.
