How to Give Help
Please keep in mind that the best contribution is money, not medications, clothes and food, to well-established organizations already working in Haiti because money can be directed more quickly and efficiently to meet the needs of victims.

How to Get Help
- Temporary Protected Status (TPS) has been granted for Haitians who were in the United States as of Jan. 12, 2010 by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. But there is only a 6-month window to apply. Click link above or call 800-375-5283 for more information. Please review the following information:
- Haitian Consulate in Boston: Marie Andrine, Consul Général, 617-266-3660.
- Grief counselors and health care providers are available at many community health centers. Click here or call the League at 800-475-8455 to find one near you.
- The Haitian Mental Health Network is made up of a group of Haitian providers (e.g., social workers, psychologists, and psychiatrists) established in the aftermath of the earthquake to coordinate mental health services and respond to the psychosocial needs of the Haitian community. The HMH Network will work collaboratively with local health centers and community-based organizations serving the Haitian community to ensure that mental health interventions are comprehensive, integrated, culturally sensitive, and developmentally appropriate.
