The Massachusetts League of Community Health Centers celebrated its 31st anniversary on Friday, June 6, 2003 with a
gala event at the Seaport Hotel. The annual event celebrates the work and mission of the
Commonwealths 49 community health centers, which provide primary and preventive
health care to more than 600,000 low-income uninsured and Medicaid-eligible individuals,
children and families across Massachusetts. The League
honored Congressman Stephen Lynch with the Leagues Public Service award during this
"Night of Knights".As the centerpiece of its medieval-themed event, the League recognized health
center employees and public servants for their dedication and commitment to the vulnerable
patients health centers serve, and to promoting health access across the
Commonwealth. This
