Turn Out for Community Health Center Outreach and Information Day.
. . Lieutenant Governor Tim Murray joined the League’s Board Chair,
Frances Anthes, and League President & CEO Jim Hunt to cut the
ribbon for Community Health Center Outreach and Information Day at the
State House, which showcased the community health center mission for
Legislators and other public officials and key staff members.
House Health Care Financing Chairwoman Patricia Walrath (D-Stow)
visited with each participant, while the crowd welcomed remarks from DPH
Commissioner John Auerbach, and the thanks and support of House Ways and
Means Chairman Robert DeLeo, Public Health Chairman Peter Koutoujian
(D-Waltham), Financial Services Vice Chairman Bob Spellane (D-Worcester)
and Senate Public Safety Chairman Jarrett Barrios (D-Cambridge), who
will soon take the helm at the Blue Cross Blue Shield Foundation of
Massachusetts. Public Health
Vice Chair Alice Wolf (D-Cambridge) also offered remarks, and dozens of
other Representatives and staff enjoyed the luncheon and toured the
community health center exhibits. A
very special thanks to our event co-sponsors Senator Richard Moore

and to all the participating health centers and League staff and interns
who made this event a great success!
