Forums and Groups

As we work to meet the cost and quality goals of health care reform, ongoing support for enhanced health information systems and technology at health centers is crucial. All the state’s community health centers have adopted electronic health record (EHR) implementations, and many are now considering converting vendors. The Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN) provides broad support for implementing EHRs across the health center network to enhance innovative care management initiatives and ultimately ensure the success of health care reform in low-income communities.
The Mass League hosts user groups and supports Higher Logic communication channel groups to aggregate and share best practices so that every center can optimize the value of their EHR tools. Additionally, the Mass League hosts supplemental forums where health center members gather to discuss topics related to their team roles.
One such forum focuses on IT and provides the opportunity for health center staff responsible for information systems and technology to discuss current trends, respond to state and federal policy affecting health center payment and reporting systems, and define group technology projects.
Examples of user groups and forums that occur regularly:
- MECHUG – Massachusetts Epic Community Health User Group
- CHC IT Forum
- DRVS Advisory Committee and User Learning Sessions
- UDS Forum
- Athenaone User Group (in partnership with Health Federation of Philadelphia HCCN)
- Artificial Intelligence Forum
- Digital Health Tools
