Health Center Board Boot Camp

Join us for an afternoon walking through critical
responsibilities of health center board members, with practical tips
to enhance board effectiveness and reduce potential compliance
pitfalls. In addition to reviewing key board member responsibilities,
the discussion will include a brief review of recent changes to the
health center program, including new grant terms and conditions,
key considerations for board members in HRSA operational site
visits, the board’s role in federal audits and investigations, and how
board members can prepare for federal policy changes. This
session is targeted toward health center board members, CEOs,
and staff who provide support to boards.

Participants will:

  • Understand the key responsibilities of a health center
    board member.
  • Learn about the board’s role in a HRSA OSV.
  • Learn about the board’s role in government audits and
    investigations.
  • Understand recent federal regulatory changes that every health
    center board member should understand.
  • Understand the health center board member’s role in financial
    management and oversight.
