Navigating Operational Site Visits: A Practical Guide for Health Center Leaders

HRSA Operational Site Visits (OSVs) are critical moments for health centers to demonstrate compliance with federal requirements and showcase the effectiveness of their systems. This session is designed to prepare new and experienced health center leaders—including CEOs, CFOs, COOs, Compliance Officers, Quality Directors, and CMOs—for a successful OSV experience.

The session will focus on demystifying the OSV process, providing actionable strategies to ensure your organization is audit-ready, and identifying opportunities to strengthen your compliance systems. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the key components assessed during an OSV, including governance, finance, clinical operations, and quality improvement. A central focus of the session will be on the role of CHC boards in ensuring a successful OSV.

Special attention will be given to creating a culture of compliance and accountability, aligning operational goals with federal standards, and leveraging the OSV as a springboard for ongoing organizational improvement. Whether you are new to health center leadership or seeking to refine your compliance strategies, this session will equip you with the tools and confidence to excel in the OSV process and beyond.

Learning Objectives:

1. Understand the core elements of an Operational Site Visit and their significance to health center operations.

2. Develop practical strategies for preparing your team and documentation for a successful OSV.

3. Identify opportunities to enhance compliance systems and integrate them into day-to-day operations.

4. Foster a proactive, compliance-driven culture within your organization.

5. Ensure your board members understand their role in health center compliance to support a successful OSV.

The standard registration fee is $350 per attendee. Group discounts for 5+ attendees are available, however, for Mass League members. Please email legalcompliance@massleague.org to obtain discount codes or with any questions.
